I looked down the clock and it read five fifty-five in the morning.
I woke up around five thirty, just so I can rummage the cabinet and cupboard to cook something for breakfast. I’m the one assign for cooking breakfast because I told my mom that I need to enhance my knife handling. And I’m doing it right, too. Great, isn’t it? But I only found a half-opened Skippy peanut butter, a thick, unopened loaf bun and our trusty griddle pan. And without hesitation, I heated some loaves on the griddle pan and spread some peanut butter on it afterward. I only ate two loaves because I’m on a diet.
Diet.
Yep, you heard me right. After two agonizing and disturbing weeks, I gained ten pounds. Yes, ten pounds in just two weeks. Can you believe that? It was because I kept on going to McDonald’s to buy myself Mcfloat and cheeseburger. And afterwards, I eat at home. And I realized, I did gain unwanted pounds. *sighs* This doesn’t feel like me. So, the only remedy for it is to go on a diet. No, it’s not the usual crash diet wherein I’m going to slave myself away from foods, exercise thrice a day, only eat asparagus and oats in the evening and only drink water. No. I’m going for the long term diet. I think it will work out better than those crash diets. I think it’s time for me to stop acting and looking like a child. But yeah, diet is diet. And Mcfloats are only available only by the end of the week in every two weeks. Haha.
About school, we’re cooking basic sauces. It was fun! I’m going to post some pictures here when I have the time to update massively. Yesterday, we cooked béchamel sauce and veloute sauce. And today, we’re going to cook two other sauces. Weee. I like it this way. And yes, I passed my final preliminary examinations! *dances* Isn’t it cool? And I’ll be cooking officially next week. I’m so happy about it.
Oh, it’s about time to get going for school. See you later, folks. ;)
I am Catherine and am currently enjoying the sixteen years of my existence. And strangely enough, people are starting to call me Bonbon because I’m the youngest in my circle of friends.
I’m currently in my freshman year in college, taking up Culinary Art. I don’t actually cook and Culinary Arts was far out from the courses I chose before. But now, I’m loving my course. :) Originally, I should have taken Tourism but then again, I don’t feel like it. Haha.
And the rest is for you to find out.

This is the first ever decent layout of Salt and Papers. I named it, Orange and Teal, although I used the different shades of blue rather than teal. I love the color combination. And with white, everything sets clear.
